Ryan Ertel is a proven shopping center operator with a track record of creating and maximizing value in real estate. Prior to joining Anchor Associates as a Partner, Ryan worked for Regency Centers Corporation (NASDAQ: REG), the preeminent national owner, operator and developer of neighborhood and community shopping centers. Ryan’s 17-year career with Regency provided him with the unique opportunity to operate in multiple markets including Florida, the Carolinas, Minneapolis, Nashville, Dallas, Houston, Denver, Colorado Springs, New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Phoenix and several other markets throughout the Midwest. His last assignment with Regency Centers was in its Cincinnati office where he played a leading role in the development, leasing and asset-management of 26 shopping centers totaling approximately 4M square feet located throughout Cincinnati, Columbus, Detroit, Indianapolis, Saint Louis and Chicago.
Ryan graduated from the Carl H. Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati where he was recognized by its respected real estate program as “Student of the Year”. He is a licensed real estate broker in Ohio and Kentucky, an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and a Certified Commercial Investment Member (“CCIM”).
Prior to embarking on his successful real estate career, Ryan served as an infantryman in the United States Marine Corps for 8 years. Staff Sergeant Ertel deployed multiple times for the Marines; including as as Assault Section Leader for Regimental Combat Team 8 in Al Anbar Province, Fallujah, Iraqi. Staff Sergeant Ertel’s military awards include the Combat Action Ribbon, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (2nd award), Armed Forces Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserved Medal with “M” Device, National Defense Service Medal, Overseas Ribbon, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Navy Unit Commendation, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal and Armed Forces Service Medal.
